Ginger-haired angel Ed Sheeran has been involved in a nasty car accident while riding his bike in London and his tour could now be in jeopardy.

While on his bicycle Sheeran was injured, fracturing his right wrist and left elbow. The pop singer himself has since posted to his Instagram page:

“Ive[sic] had a bit of a bicycle accident and I’m currently waiting on some medical advice, which may affect some of my upcoming shows. Please stay tuned for further news,” Sheeran said.

Sheeran was due to be kicking off his Asian leg of his tour next week, with Australian dates starting early next year.

He’s just confirmed that his upcoming shows have been cancelled.

“A visit to my doctors confirmed fractures in my right wrist and left elbow that will leave me unable to perform live concerts for the immediate future,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

“Sadly, this means that the following shows will not be able to go ahead as planned: Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong. I’m waiting to see how the healing progresses before we have to decide on shows beyond that.”

We’ll keep our ear to the ground for news over whether his Aussie tour could be cancelled or postponed. Either way, it’s unlikely he’ll be able to strum along to his guitar until he is fully healed.

Wishing Sheeran a speedy recovery!
