We all knew it would come to this. For those that prescribe to the mantra ‘memes are life’, today’s your day. Melbourne is getting its first ever Meme Fest, a day for celebrating all the things memey; honouring the likes of Harambe, Dat Boi, Evil Kermit, Salt Bae and all the classics.

Beat Magazine has reported that the inaugural Meme Fest is inviting the meme-obsessed to come along dressed as their favourite meme. As well as “bringing together meme cut-outs and face masks alongside meme-themed drinks and a photo booth,” Beat reports.
