After two long years of waiting, the third and final instalment of Maze Runner is finally on its way and we are mighty psyched.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure rounds out the saga, as we return to Thomas leading his group of escaped Gladers on their most hectic mission yet.

The latest adaptation of the dystopian future YA novel of the same name by James Dashner sets up the group as they attempt to break into the Last City, a WCKD-controlled labyrinth which could turn out to be the deadliest maze yet.

In the climax of the trilogy, the maze runners that make it out alive will get answers to the questions the Gladers have been asking since the very first film. Yaas! Finally. It’s sure to be a heart-pumping watch.

We rejoin Teen Wolf bae Dylan O’Brien who has luckily recovered from his nasty accident on set last year, which sent the final film on a long hiatus. He leads a cast which includes Skins’ Kaya Scodelario, and Game of Thrones alum Aiden Gillan, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Nathalie Emmanuel.

The latest trailer shows a remarkably different looking setting from the previous films, with Maze Runner: The Death Cure giving serious Mad Max vibes.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure will be released on January 18, 2018.
