It’s finally happening you guys — Flight of the Conchords are making their TV comeback in 2018!!

There have been rumours for months that the “almost award-winning fourth-most-popular folk duo in New Zealand” (aka Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie) would be filming “something” this year, but today HBO confirmed it: there’ll be a one-hour FOTC comedy special airing in May, which is actually really soon, hey?

The comeback special will be filmed at one of the shows on the pair’s upcoming UK Tour in March, and will feature their classic hits as well as some promised new material. It’s nice of them to film it seeing as they have no current plans to tour Australia (kind of rude), but a TV return is the next best thing.

Sadly, it’ll just be the one episode, but seeing as it’s been close to a decade since their last TV show ended in 2009, we’re not complaining.

Anyway, there’s only one thing to say to this: it’s business time. Bring on May 2018.
