It was certainly a day to remember at The Emmys today in Los Angeles. Despite the temperature soaring to nearly 40 Degrees, the Stars of the small screen were in fantastic form.

Despite F-Bombs and fainting on the Red Carpet, the show kicked off smoothly with host Andy Samberg, of Saturday Night Live and Brooklyn Nine-nine fame doing a fantastic job with his hilarious opening monologue song which looked and sounded like it had come straight out of his Lonely Island days (watch below).

In this Golden Age of TV shows, it was certainly extremely competitive across all of the categories. As expected, Game of Thrones dominated breaking the all time record for most Awards in a single year, winning 10 today, including best Drama. Other shows taking home a few Awards were VEEP and Olive Ketteridge.

Key moments included Olivia Culpo nearly fainting on live TVAmy Poehler dressing as a gangster and Amy Schumer’s badass acceptance speech. Tracy Morgan even made an inspiring comeback speech. All in all, the affair went down without any major hitches.
