For any girls growing up in the late 90’s, the Spice Girls first single ‘Wannabe was a female power anthem and has fittingly been remade as a call for gender equality.

The song has been covered as part of the #WhatIReallyReallyWant movement, focusing on eradicating inequality faced by girls and women all over the world. It’s a spine-tingling fucking fantastic remake that comes 20 years after the group released the smash hit.

The revamp is part of The Global Goals campaign, to bring more awareness to the inequality facing many women and children around the world. These challenges include violence, quality education for all girls, child marriages and equal pay for equal work.

The campaign encourages people across the globe to share a picture on social media with the hashtag #WhatIReallyReallyWant so that the messages can then be passed onto the United Nations.
