Watch Jeremy Clarkson Drag Races Tesla’s Family SUV Against A V10 Audi R8
Back in 2011, Tesla sued Top Gear after Jeremy Clarkson claimed their Tesla Roadster couldn’t go the distances they claimed. Despite swearing to ‘never ever review another Tesla as long as I live‘ it seems Clarkson has been won over by Elon Musk’s latest offering in the Model X.
In the segment for his new show The Grand Tour, Clarkson played things extra safe – by filling the car with 6 lawyers, just to make sure every criticism he gave was above board. Cheeky. He didn’t have much to worry about because it seems the futuristic family SUV over-delivered on his expectations.
In the video below, watch Clarkson as he pits the Model X against the all-powerful V10 Audi R8 with 600 Horsepower. We weren’t surprised that the Model X left the high-performance sports car eating dust.
It’s just another example of just how far electric car technology has come in such a short period of time.
