WATCH: Jessica Mauboy Just Dropped Her Eurovision Song & WE’RE GONNA WIN
Australia represent! Our Aussie rep for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, local superstar Jessica Mauboy, has released the track that she’ll be performing on the show ‘We Got Love’… and it’s actually VERY EXTREMELY FUCKING GOOD.
It’s so good that I reckon it has a damn cracking chance of winning the whole competition. If we look at prior years, dance numbers that show off the performer’s pipes while promoting a positive message are the types of songs that rank super highly and often win.
The track is by Aussies DNA Songs, who also wrote the last two Eurovision entries. We know Jess has the vocal range to absolutely slay the competition and this song could really come alive on stage.
“I wanted to write a song that captured that instinctive sense of joy of how a great song can change the darkest of moods into happiness,” said Jess.
“‘We Got Love’ is also about how music can lift the human spirit. You can always rise above in the hardest times with something as simple as a great song.”
All the action will be going down in Lisbon, Portugal, with the semi-finals airing on SBS from 9 to 13 May, 2018.
