Liam Payne has finally blessed us with his first solo single.
Payne is the last member of One Direction to release his own music, however ‘Strip That Down’ is definitely worth the looooong AF wait. The song is an unexpected smooth R&B banger and features rapper Quavo, who is better known for being one-third of Migos.
Co-written by Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac, the track has directioners in a spin, as the song emphasises that Payne no longer sees himself as a boy bander. It features spicy lyrics that include:
“You know I used to be in 1D, now I’m free. People want me for one thing, that’s not me.”
