He may not have found his match on Love Island, but DJ Teddy made Australia fall in love with him. We bid goodbye to Teddy last night, as he and Mac elected to leave the villa after a tense exchange between Grant, Tayla, Erin and Eden.

This wasn’t the first time Teddy and Eden came to blows. Teddy had been left in tears several times from Eden’s intimidating tactics, with 24-year-old admitting Eden’s dominating presence made him feel like he was being bullied back in high school.

Upon leaving the villa, Teddy is now saying that viewers didn’t see the true extent of Eden’s nasty behaviour on the show. He told Daily Mail Australia that he found the way Eden would speak to his match Erin “disgusting”. Teddy said:

“The things Eden would say to Erin, the names he would call her… if my mum heard me say any of those things to a woman, I’d be in big trouble,”

“It was really disgusting … I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.”

The DJ went on to attempt to rationalise Eden’s bullying behaviour, concluding:

“Because he isn’t happy in his own heart, he feels the need to cut other people down. I hope he is able to deal with that.”

We reached out to Channel Nine for comment over Teddy’s accusations of verbal abuse.

A spokesperson responded: “Love Island is a show about relationships and the welfare of our contestants in those relationships is always paramount. Our psychologist is on site for all of the intense decision making and is available 24/7 to all Islanders every step of the way.

Nine and ITV put the welfare of our Islanders at the top of our agendas. We are closely monitoring all the couplings.”

While Teddy may not be leaving with $50k but one thing we do know is that Teddy has won hearts across the country.
