Back in 2004, the best Christmas carol of all time was released: Carol of the Meows.

This year the silly season and it’s many array and covers of carols gets even better – and has charitable causes in mind.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, Joy to the World sung by GOATS.

We loved the goats when they covered Taylor Swift’s Trouble, and thus they have returned to bring joy to the world this holiday season, via carols, and goodwill.

The album of goat carols is available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon and GooglePlay, and each purchase will put money towards ActionAid in Sweden helping keep girls in developing countries in school, as well as help them gain farming skills.

Why goats? ActionAid’s Miriam Isaksson said the goats are symbolic of the difference that can be made to many lives in poverty.

“A Christmas album is of course something we do with a twinkle in our eye, while we want to show how important a goat can be for people living in poverty.

A goat could be the fresh start that a family needs to take the first step out of poverty.

Goats survive in harsh climates where it is too dry to grow crops, they are easy to breed and give vital milk, just to name a few examples.”

We at TheVine can’t wait to hear the rest of the goat carols and to hear about the success this campaign will make.
