Now here is some good news. All time classic film ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ is making a comeback in a TV reboot headed by the one, the only, Mindy Kaling.

It’s 2017, all originality is dead and we’re living in the age of reboots and remakes – so why the hell not? We can also trust that this one is going to be great content.

First off, Four Weddings and a Funeral is one of the most iconic romcoms of the 90s, and it is welcome to make a 2017 comeback in our hearts.

Secondly, Mindy freakin’ Kaling. We trust her.

If you weren’t on board the Four Weddings and a Funeral train, it can basically be summed up as Hugh Grant being fumbly, British and awkwardly cute, Andy MacDowell being beautiful and delivering cheesy romantic lines all while they attend four weddings and one funeral with their mates. Ripper plot.

The reboot is going to be a Hulu TV anthology series based off the film and it’s got Richard Curtis, who wrote the OG film, along with British classics Love Actually and Notting Hill, on board as executive producer. Will it be the same without Hugh Grant and his floppy hair?

Kaling is going to be writing the new take on FWAAF with Mindy Project showrunner Matt Warburton. So everything is in line for some sweet TV. Word is that the series is going to follow a group of mates as their lives intersect at the various weddings and one funeral, with each season following a different story arc.

We reckon she’ll do a killer job with the reboot. Go Mindy!
