Network Ten Say New Idea’s Bachelor Spoiler Is A Crock Of Shite

Channel Ten have quashed rumours that Alex is the winner of Richie’s heart in The Bachelor Australia season four.

Gossip mag New Idea claimed that the 24-year-old single mother will take out the Bachelor and that Richie now “regretted the decision” because he really loves Nikki. Titled, “Bachelor Disaster: ‘I Chose Alex But I’m In Love With Nikki'” the mag goes further, revealing photos of Alex, Nikki and Olena “flying out of various Australian cities to Bali” – the location of the final dates and rose ceremony.

New Idea also reference locals who apparently confirm that “all three contenders shot romantic scenes in and around Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort“.

But don’t be sucked in. Making a further soap drama out of The Bachy sells magazines and Network Ten aren’t all that happy about it.

In a beautifully passive-agressive press release, producers of the show dismissed the gossip article saying it is “misleading, unsubstantiated and mischievous“.

A spokesperson for Network Ten released a statement saying,

“New Idea has consistently produced misleading, unsubstantiated and mischievous articles about The Bachelor Australia this year. This latest ‘report’ is no different,” she said.

The ‘report‘ comes after the first seasons of The Bachelorette starring Sam Frost was spoiled by ‘The Daily MFail’ hours before the final episode went to air. The TV Network won a court battle for the photos, which showed Frost and winner Sasha Mielczarek cuddling in a hotel room in Sydney, to be taken down – but the damage had been done. This year, it seems the battle between the paparazzi and producers to contain the winner until the final episode is well and truly heating up.

The magazine stands by it’s claim, which says Richie confessed the winner and his mistake to a ‘close friend’ and was accompanied by a pap-snap of the show shooting in Bali. It reads:

“He’s confessed to close friends that he made a huge mistake and now knows [Nikki] was The One”.

“Distraught Richie has been unable to stop thinking about Nikki Grogan, believed to be the series’ runner-up. He’s confessed to close friends that he made a huge mistake and now knows she was The One.”

We’ll believe it when we see it folks!
