Oh hi readers! After dropping a teaser back in July, the distributors of James Franco’s new movie about the making of The Room have unveiled the first full-length trailer in all its unfathomable glory.

The Room, in case you don’t know, is the so bad it’s good masterpiece from Tommy Wiseau, an aspiring writer/director/actor whose dreams of Hollywood stardom came true, kind of, after his notoriously awful movie became a full-blown cult hit.

Directed by Franco, The Disaster Artist tells the story of how The Room came to be, and from all accounts it is absolutely fucking wild.

Fans of Wiseau’s film will get a kick out of this trailer, which nods its heads to some of The Room’s most infamous sequences, including its numerous anatomically incorrect sex scenes. But we also get a look at the more serious side of the story. Franco plays Wiseau as a tortured and misunderstood artist – albeit one who can’t decide whether to make the hero of his movie a vampire.

Rumour has it Franco directed the entire movie in character, which must have been a hell of an experience.

The new trailer arrives on the back of the film’s premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it scored rave reviews and a massive standing ovation.

The Disaster Artist hits cinemas in the US on December 1.
