3. Uber-Awkward Hot Air Balloon Proposal

The relationship between Josh’s dad Alan and Mae has been a rocky ride this season but never as tenuously displayed as Alan’s failed attempt of an romantic gesture by cramming a very hungover Josh, Mae and himself in a hot air balloon to propose.

When Alan attempts to ask Mae’s hand in marriage, the noise of the fire and gas powering the balloon drowns out his words, as Josh vomits over the side of the basket. In the end Mae’s answer was no and the whole debacle was peak Please Like Me- chronically awkward to a fault.
