This year we’re finally getting a dating show that’s actually like the way we ‘date’. Take Me Out is a hilarious game of first impressions, and it’s going to be your new fave.

Take Me Out is already one of the most popular dating shows around the world. It’s similar to the cult Chinese dating show If You Are The One, and it’s about time Aussies got in on the action. It’s coming to Channel 7 this year and they need young single Aussies to savagely judge each other on TV. So. Sign. Us. Up.

Basically, the show plays out like speed-swiping in a brutal IRL Tinder simulation. Thirty single ladies are at the ready when a parade of dudes are brought out one-by-one to be introduced and judged. Each gal decides if they’re keen or not — if they’re not, they ceremoniously turn their light off and wait for the next contender. It’s quick, hilarious and ruthless all the time, just like young modern dating.

Take Me Out is a bit like a speed-dating Bachelor series in reverse. (Think: none of the boring bits, with a pack of women holding all the power). Plus the show is hosted by spicy comedy star Joel Creasey, who will guide us through the hilarious, perpetual rose ceremony AKA our dating show dream.

They’re looking for young singles to join the show through to the end of April so if you’re over 18 and fanging for a date, get your application in ASAP right here.
