US President-elect, Donald Trump has given his first TV interview after securing a victory to lead the country over Hillary Clinton.

The interview, aired on the American version of ’60 Minutes’ on Sunday night (today time in Aus), gave us the first glimpse at what we can expect from his reign as Commander In Chief.

Thankfully, reporter Lesley Stahl didn’t hold back, bringing up matters including his thoughts on Obamacare, his appointees to the Supreme Court, immigration, abortion and claims that his supporters are racist.

Stahl also questioned Trump on his promise to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton‘s use of a private server. But Trump said he didn’t want to hurt the Clintons, calling them ‘good people‘ and dodging the focus to his thoughts on healthcare and immigration instead.

Trump admitted that he’s not over-awed by all the challenges he’s likely to face while being (arguably) the most powerful man in the world. While playing super chill, he also admitted that he’ll be paying himself the modest salary of US$1.
