Gigi Hadid proved she’s not to be messed with after her runway show for Max Mara at Milan Fashion Week.

Gigi and her sister Bella Hadid were walking to their car when a man grabbed her and lifted her up in the street. She reacted to protect herself by roughly elbowing him in the face. Get em’ gurl.

Hadid even attempted to chase the attacker as he ran away, not wanting him to get away with his disgusting behaviour. Hadid yelled out at him multiple times, before one of her security guards lightly pulled her back towards the car.

Unbelievably, the model has had to defend her decision to elbow her attacker after a publication said her reaction was “not model behaviour”.

Hadid used the incident to send an important message to girls, telling them to learn how to defend themselves in case they ever need to.

Vitalii Sediuk, a former Ukrainian television reporter has since been identified as Hadid’s attacker. Sediuk has previously had altercations with Brad Pitt, America Ferrera, and Will Smith.

Sediuk claims his attack on Hadid was his way to:

Encourage the fashion industry to put true talents on the runway and Vogue covers instead of well-connected cute girls from Instagram.”

This is not a new argument BUT this point doesn’t give this guy permission to violate anothers personal space and lay a hand on Gigi. If you ask us, he is fuckin’ bonkers. Reacting to Sediuk’s comments, supermodel Coco Rocha has defended both Gigi and Bella Hadid’s modelling talent.

A ton of celebrities have backed Gigi’s reaction to the attack.
