James Franco and his inspo for The Disaster Artist, Tommy Wiseau, appeared together on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and it was quite the sight.

The Disaster Artist stars James Franco and his brother Dave, and tells the story of the making of Wiseau’s notoriously terrible film, The Room.

As Franco was being interviewed by Kimmel, Wiseau was invited on stage and tbh, he stole the show. For those unfamiliar with The Room and its star/writer/director, this is a pretty accurate taste of what the eccentric guy is like:

When asked how well the movie captured the real Tommy, Wiseau replied “I would say 99.9 per cent”. It’s here that Franco defends the film, saying the only reason Tommy didn’t like it was because he said the lighting was off, despite him wearing sunglasses at the time.

The best moment is when Tommy actually forgets what movie they are supposed to be plugging, instead talking about Franco’s 2002 film Sonny. And in some excellent news, Tommy revealed he’s written his own book and version of events, as he says that his BFF and The Room co-star Greg Sestero’s book (which the movie is named after) got a lot of it wrong.

No more mickey mouse stuff, folks.
