Almost the entire city of Melbourne is nursing a killer hangover today, after yesterday’s Melbourne Cup. It might be Australia’s most prestigious horsie race – the ‘race that stops a nation’ – but often becomes a cesspool of debauchery, cringable antics and embarrassment.

During race season last year, one shit-faced woman pushed a police officer over. This year has been a little more tame. During a Channel Nine news segment at the cup, while a reporter was talking through the day’s events, an assumedly drunk woman storms towards him, carrying a wallet she has just found. As she slurs out:

“Channel Nine, I think you need to know: someone has lost $3 dollars,” she said.

After the reporter says the young lass should hand the wallet to the security (rather than a reporter in the midst of presenting a news bulletin), she slammed back:

“It’s important. How dare you, Channel Nine!” she yells. “He needs to know. He needs to find the owner.”

What a saint.
