WATCH: Tom Cruise Got Hurt Trying To Land A Gnarly Stunt While Filming Mission Impossible
Reprising his role as Ethan Hunt for the upcoming Mission Impossible 6 film, it appears Tom Cruise was hurt while filming some gnarly stunt work.
In a video uploaded to TMZ, Cruise can be seen trying to leap a solid distance between an elevated platform and another rooftop. While Tommy-boy was strapped into some safety gear to prevent him plunging down the void, there was no tension in the rope to guide him, so a fair bit of speed was needed to clear the jump. Unfortunately Cruise misjudged the leap leaving him to crash into a solid concrete wall. Splat.
Love him or hate him, you can’t help but respect to the bloke for insisting on completing his own stunts at the age of 55. Although, compared to some of his more extreme work, like getting flung out of a plane or walking across the word’s tallest building, this stunt was pretty tame.
He walked away from the incident looking pretty hurt and battered but okay. There’s no official report on his condition but Cruise is a trooper and it looks like he’ll be just fine.
