Looking For Alibrandi’s Pia Miranda Has Joined ‘Survivor’ & It’s A Massive Throwback
This year’s cast of Australian Survivor: Champions Vs. Contenders just keeps getting better and better. It’s just been revealed that Looking for Alibrandi’s Pia Miranda has joined the show. What a throwback.
If you’re wondering, umm, why? Same. But it turns out the Aussie actress is a longtime Survivor superfan and has been studying how the game is played since the series first began.
“I have been watching Survivor since the first season in 2000 and I’ve been sitting on the couch for almost 20 years saying I could win, so I guess now is my chance! I really want to play as a fan and be someone that a fan would enjoy watching,” she said.

The mum of two has been training for the series by a swimming, doing yoga, practicing puzzles, and most importantly making fire. As a massive fan of the 2000 film Looking for Alibrandi (who isn’t?) she has my vote and hopefully Pia can make all us superfans proud.
Pia will join the Champions team which so far includes Olympic gold medalists Steven Bradbury and Nova Peris, NRL legend Andrew Ettingshausen, AFL legend Simon Black, marathon swimmer Susie Maroney, and Survivor fan fave Luke Toki.
Australian Survivor: Champions Vs. Contenders premieres on Wednesday, 24 July at 7.30pm.
