‘Big Brother’ Will Be Filmed On An Island & The Latest Promo Has Us Actually Screaming
Big Brother is coming back in 2020 but it’s already going to be massively different to the original series, with the latest promo showing that it will be based in a warehouse on an island.
The short teaser dropped on Monday morning shows a camera panning over the ocean before settling on an island. It then shows us a massive warehouse under construction before we get a glimpse of the trademark Big Brother cameras.
The teaser might be short but it’s enough to get us buzzin’. “This is Big Brother,” a booming voice announces, before the promo says, “The game has changed. Are you ready to play?”
HELL YES. I’M VERY EXCITED. I CAN’T BREATHE.

Behind Big Brother reported over the weekend that the series’ new location would be Cockatoo Island (which seems to check out) and leaked an even longer promo. The website also suggested that the reboot will be very different from the OG Aussie series and will no longer hold evictions voted by the public.

Last week Channel Seven’s Director of Programming, Angus Ross, confirmed to TV Tonight that the series will no longer be live. “I don’t want to go into the specifics of what we’re planning because some of them are still to be debated,” he said. “But it won’t be live.”
Gulp. I don’t know what to make of this but I’m keen to see what that actually means. Stay tuned.
