Mike Goldman To Return To ‘Big Brother’ In New Show That Sounds Like ‘Big Brother: Up Late’
For ride or die stans of Big Brother, you’ll know Mike Goldman all too well.
Goldman narrated the daily show every season, but what many of us remember him for the most was his chaotic energy while hosting Big Brother: Up Late. Here, Goldman would sit on a couch, watching a live monitor of the housemates often just sleeping, and trying to fill space with as many words as possible. As someone with mild insomnia, I watched a lot of Big Brother: Up Late growing up, which became a source of comfort as Goldman and his constant ramblings would keep me company before I fell asleep every night.
So when the Big Brother reboot was announced, I eagerly awaited Goldman to be confirmed as coming back on board. There was radio silence. Then overnight, the man himself finally dropped the news that he will return and host an accompanying web series called The Big Bro Show. Hallelujah.
Yes, I’m very excited about my new show. Not just because I’m in it, because I am shooting it from my house. Seriously. So cool! Thank YOU COVID 19. Never thought I’d say that. @bigbrother_au #bigbrotherau #bigbrother #7news https://t.co/TXrqKSemib pic.twitter.com/DHJOI9l2uR

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Goldman is filming the series in his house, so don’t expect some sleek, studio produced show, which tbh is very much on brand with the old school Big Brother: Up Late we know and love. The series will see the host recap the show and interview evicted housemates, along with ex-housemates and of course, Sonia Kruger.
“The Big Bro Show is a backdoor way of getting me into another Big Brother series keeping my 20 year record intact,” Goldman said regarding his new gig. “The show is simple, and what I’ve done for two decades; deliver to Big Brother fans my views and opinions. And after being involved for that long with Big Brother, I have a few of those.”
The Big Bro Show will launch at the same time as Big Brother, which is expected to premiere in early June.
