IN THE FAM: Here’s Everything We Know About ‘Mob Wives’ Australia
No one asked for it, but Australia is getting our own series of Mob Wives. The wildly successful American show started in 2011 and has six series in the pipeline.
The expectations with the Aussie version are sky high and according to The Sunday Telegraph, the reality show will focus on women from prominent crime families in Sydney and Melbourne. It’s pretty much going to be like a less sleek version of Underbelly mixed with Real Housewives – I am 100 percent on board.
Speaking of Underbelly, ultimate mob spouse Roberta Williams is leading the cast. For those unfamiliar, Roberta is the wife of convicted murderer and drug trafficker Carl Williams.
“People think they know me and they know my story but Australia has seen nothing yet,” Roberta said.
The series will unearth the everyday routines of the mobster mum, shedding light on what life is like for the widow of a notorious drug lord.
The other wives that will star include underworld socialite Lisa Candido, the daughter of convicted drug smuggler Stefani Samac; daughter of gangland identity Raquael Villani; ex GF of former Kings Cross kingpin Leyla Yavuz; and finally Analya Diaz, the ex-girlfriend of Williams’ son Tye Stephens.
“It shows a different layer to the stigma that is associated with us,” Lisa told The Sunday Telegraph.
“Everybody will be keen to peel off the layers, particularly with Roberta, and see there’s a deeper, softer side to these ladies.”
Let us pray for such words of wisdom, like this:
Here are the ladies that make up Australia’s ‘Mob Wives’:
Roberta Williams
Lisa Candido
Analya Diaz
Raquael Villani
Layla Yavuz
Stefani Samac

What a fun bunch!
