Now is the time to absorb all the Married at First Sight drama into your veins because soon we will not be seeing the contestants we’ve come to know and love (or loathe) on our TVs… maybe ever again.

Final vows are upon us which means we’re truly on the home stretch. On last night’s episode, Selina took Cody to her hometown of Adelaide to meet her mother and in turn, smash her precious china set.

Then it was onto our first two couples making their biggest decision yet: Jackson and Olivia, along with Brent and Tamara, left their shared home and separated (although the latter were already living in seperate apartments) to find clarity over their final vows.

Neither couples decision to stay or leave came as a huge surprise, with Jackson and Olivia choosing to remain together while Tamara and Brent both elected to part ways.

Despite his wife’s toxic behaviour, Jackson and Olivia have been one of the strongest relationships from day one. On the flip-side, Brent and Tamara had one of the most tumultuous journeys ever seen on MAFS, most known for clashing over Tamara’s prejudicial judgements regarding Brent’s career… and well, retail and hospitality workers in general.

In a mic drop moment on Monday night’s episode, Brent seized the chance to finally tell Tamara his true feeling during his final vows. “You are not God’s gift to humanity, so stop looking down on everyone,” he actually told her. “I don’t even know where you get the confidence to do so. So on that note, good luck, good riddance.” ICONIC.

Afterwards, Tamara labelled Brent as “insecure” for his comments. Whatever helps you sleep at night, sis.

Last night’s first instalment of Married at First Sight’s final vows on  recapped in tweets:

Selina took Cody to her home town of Adelaide to meet her mum Theresa, where he promptly smashed the matriarch’s specialty teacup. Selina’s mum considered this an omen that signified Cody was clumsy in relationships. Theresa then told Cody he needed to get his own place. Queen shit. The couple said their farewells, but not before Cody revealed he had adopted Selina a sea otter.

The couples are moving out! We go down memory lane on Jackson and Olivia’s journey…. but no one cares. Back at home, Olivia finally realised that her conflict with Dom brought out her “most disgusting” side to Jackson and she regretted how she spoke to Dom.

Olivia met with her cousin to tell her about how feuding with Dom added tension with Jackson. Meanwhile, Jackson met with his family to share how he was worried Olivia held grudges which Jackson’s mum saw as an “alarm bell”.

At final vows, Olivia told Jackson he made her feel “worthy” and “adored”, before saying he had supported her while she’s been “attacked” in the experiment. She dropped the L-bomb. Jackson said Olivia’s snide comments and grudge-holding didn’t sit well with him, but he still chose to stay with her — but he was not at the ‘I love you’ stage yet.

Tamara and Brent were still not on speaking terms and Brent vacated his apartment without saying goodbye to Tamara. Back in Bondi, Brent enlisted help from his mum to pen his final vows. She wanted him to walk away. On the Gold Coast, Tamara met with a friend where she once again, ridiculed Brent’s career.

On to final vows, Tamara told Brent that he used his ego as a “protective shield”, and she did not see a future with him. Brent hit back that Tamara was vindictive, spiteful, self-absorbed, and that he’s seen the real Tamara and she is “not God’s gift to humanity”. Brent then walked off after telling her “good riddance”.
