Mamlambo – Mzintlava River, South Africa

The dreaded Mamlambo was known to terrorize the villagers along the Mzintlava River in South Africa. In 1997, the creature was even blamed for the deaths of seven people, whose bodies were recovered with their faces grotesquely devoured. Eeek! The Mamlambo deaths were centered around 110 miles southeast of Durban, so this area would be a good place to hunt for the quasi-reptilian monstrosity.

Eyewitness accounts have measured the beast at 67 feet long, with the head of a horse, the body of a fish, the skin of a crocodile and a serpentine neck. The creature is notorious for dragging its victims into the depths of the river and devouring their faces in order to consume their brains, so errrr…happy hunting!
