Samantha, The Property Developer
“For a living, I develop properties. Look, I’ve got more tools than most men,” Samantha boldly declared when we met her on MAFS for the first time: “I get out there, I cover myself in sawdust, you know, my nails are never done.”

Samantha opened up about why she got into developing properties in the first place, saying she needed to because of the situation her ex left her in. “I got started developing properties because of my divorce. I was married for nearly 10 years. It was all great at the start and it was like the picture-perfect family. But, one day I actually had my baby on my hip and my toddler running around and I was decluttering and I discovered SIM cards of lots of different numbers. That was pretty much the evidence of my husband cheating on me for more than five years. It was humiliating.”
Samantha continued, “I think I had a $1.50 left in my account. I felt like I’d failed the kids. All I could afford at that time was the shittiest house you’d ever seen in your life. There was cat wee dripping on the carpet. I actually would take the boys to the tip to buy our furniture. It was squalor. That’s not where I wanted to end up. I got on YouTube, I googled how to tile. I did everything I could to save money and also try and make this house livable for the boys and I.”
Samantha, The Hairdresser And Entrepreneur
While she spoke about being a property developer on MAFS, we’ve done a bit of a deep-dive into her social media and found out that she’s also into hairdressing. On Samantha’s TikTok account, she opens up about dropping out of high school to pursue her passion for hairdressing. On the platform, she’s opened up in a number of videos about how she went from hairdressing to building her own salon and then subsequently franchising it.
