‘The Snowman’ Is Copping Savage Reviews, But At Least The Memes Are Straight Fire
Let me make one thing clear straight off the bat: I haven’t seen The Snowman, and I probably never will.
The serial killer film starring Michael Fassbender is currently hovering around 10 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics using words like “sluggish”, “dull” and “makes no sense whatsoever”.
Still, there is a silver lining, at least in the sense that the movie – and especially its misguided ad campaign – has inspired some truly excellent memes.
In the marketing team’s defence, it’s not exactly easy making snowmen seem scary. But surely they could have done a better job than this?

I mean, I get the vibe they’re going for, but it is not coming off at all.
Now that the film is out in theatres, people on social media are really getting stuck in.

At the end of the day, no meme is going to put the $20 you spent on a ticket back in your wallet. But you gotta take your wins where you can get them.
