Kristina From ‘The Bachelor’ Is Also Confused About Everyone Always Crying
We didn’t get to see a lot of Kristina Abramoff on The Bachelor, apart from her entrance when we presumed she was trying to choke Locky to death, and her one three-way chat with him.
The Bachelor mansion has seemed divided amongst the girls this year, and Kristina fell into what she described as the “minority” group, made up of just her, Areeba, Juliette, and Kaitlyn.
Mainly a background character, Kristina wasn’t too devastated to be kicked out of the show early on, describing Locky as not her usual type. “I’m not bagging Locky out, but because I’m doing a PhD I do like really highly educated men,” Kristina told us. “For example, Dr. Matt Agnew last year, that was the reason I applied… seeing someone like that on reality TV, he was so different. That’s my type I’d say.”
While we haven’t seen a lot of Locky’s connections blossom yet, what we have seen is the amount of fighting going on between the girls in the house.
In last night’s episode, Roxi blew up at Kaitlyn and was called out by fans for slut-shaming. With things so chaotic at the cocktail parties, we decided to ask Kristina what the hell is going on behind the scenes.
Here’s the tea Kristina spilt about her time on The Bachelor.
On getting out of the mansion just before production was shut down because of Covid:
“It was a complete shock, we were cut off from the outside world. We don’t have internet, we don’t have phones, we weren’t told anything. So when I went in there, Covid wasn’t really a situation in Australia. Coming out was such a big shock. I was told the WA borders may be closing the day after I was touching down.”
On the divide in the house:
“I was with the minority group, there was only the four of us. The four of us are really thick-skinned, so it wasn’t too hard for us. I’m not someone who cares if someone doesn’t like me. I was fine as long as I had my girls, we were just doing our own thing. I still speak to Areeba, Juliette, and Kaitlyn nearly every day.”
On why everyone was crying at the cocktail parties:
“I don’t know, that’s what we were trying to figure out! It was like, why is everyone crying and not even just in the cocktail parties. I couldn’t even tell you.”
On Roxi and Juliette and whether there’s something we missed:
“From day one, Roxi did not like Juliette, I’m not sure why. That was something that we noticed. You can see when Juliette gets that rose in that cocktail party, all the girls just go off. Me and Areeba were the only ones who were standing up for her. As a result of standing up for her, I had people come up to me and say ‘if you hang out with them, the whole house will hate you’ so you really had to pick your gang, it was a gang mentality. It was so awkward if one of us wanted to go to the kitchen or something it was just weird.”
On Juliette slipping Locky the letter:
“We made up with Juliette a day or two after. It was just because, you don’t see what happens before that. We were talking about how we wouldn’t outshine each other, it wasn’t about her slipping the letter, we just thought it was an equal thing. That’s why we reacted to it.”
On what has shocked her watching the show back:
“I didn’t know the other girls were bitching so much. Because they’re really nice to each other’s faces!”
On Zoe-Clare’s claims that she tried to leave:
“I don’t think Zoe-Clare tried to leave. I am under the impression you can leave when you want to leave, no one’s told they need to wait until the rose ceremony and she seemed devastated at the rose ceremony that she did not get a rose. So seeing the articles about her trying to leave, I don’t think that happened. And she was accepted with that big group as well, you know? So I’m not sure what she was talking about when it came to bullying on her behalf.”
And on whether she’d do Bachelor In Paradise:
“It was a positive experience for me, so I’d never say never to Paradise. I’ll see when the time comes, things may change!”
