Meryl Streep’s Debut On ‘Big Little Lies’ Has Already Become A Massive Meme
TV series powerhouse Big Little Lies has officially returned for its second season and we finally got to see Hollywood royalty Meryl Streep make her epic debut on the show playing Mary Louise Wright.
In case you need a refresher, season one left us with many questions after the murder of Perry Wright, Celeste’s abusive husband. In the first episode of season two, Meryl stepped into the shoes of the grieving mother and proved she’s the queen of side-eye and low-key shade. I don’t think anyone will be forgetting that screaming scene anytime soon and I plan to adopt “My grief is too loud for you?” as my go-to clapback.
Then there were the salty words shared with Reese Witherspoon’s character, Madeline, making short women around the world feel shamed but owned simultaneously. All in all, in just one episode we got enough meme material to last us a lifetime.
