It’s been over a month since Married at First Sight ended, but the trolling that the contestants are receiving is showing little sign of stopping. This year’s contestant Melissa Rawson has shared on Instagram that she is still being bombarded with people ‘spewing hate’ on her feed.

Over the weekend, Melissa shared an Instagram story where she addressed the online abuse she’s endured since her tumultuous relationship with Bryce Ruthven played out on our screens on MAFS. “My mental health is not okay. There are a few women who continuously drag myself/Bryce/us over and over again in their comments, posts, or tags,” she began.

“They think that is entertaining and have no idea the damage it does to myself and everyone that I love or that knows Bryce or myself as an individual or as a couple,” Melissa posted, before going on to say that “because of these women, I am frightened every day.” Melissa even admitted that she fears that people will approach her IRL and she will face “verbal abuse”.

There’s no denying that Bryce was a controversial and divisive groom on this year’s season. However, as Melissa and Bryce appear to still be very much together and going strong, I can’t fathom why people continue to troll Melissa — of all people.

It’s just a TV show, fam. Melissa didn’t do anything wrong, other than stand by Bryce. Continuing to attack a woman for the actions of her man is some pretty damn twisted logic.
