Some paddle boarders and swimmers found themselves unknowingly surrounded by ‘in excess of 15 Great White Sharks’ in the Orange County shoreline earlier this week. Thankfully, this chill AF police chopper was in the area and spotted the creatures.

In the video posted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page, the officer can be heard casually letting lifeguards and rangers know and coordinating the situation without the slightest bit of panic. In fact, the chopper had to be ‘requested’ by local Park Rangers to inform swimmers – like that wasn’t the obvious thing to do?!

At 3:45 seconds, the helicopter zeroes in on a paddleboarder, who can be seen amongst several of the predators. The officer in charge starts rattling on about who he is and where he’s from, what he ate for brunch etc… before finally letting the swimmers know that “they’re (rangers) advising you exit the water in a calm manner“. Dude, maybe lead with the shark thing next time.
