WATCH: Aussie Legend Wrestles Shark Out Of An Ocean Pool & Flings It Into The Sea

You’re going for a quick dip in an ocean pool and you catch sight of a shark in the water: what do you do? If you’re Melissa Hatheier, real estate agent and deadset Aussie legend, you calmly wrestle that shark from the pool and fling it back into the ocean, apparently, all without seeming to break a sweat.

Don’t believe us? Cop this extraordinary video posted to Facebook by Mel’s employer Cronulla Real Estate yesterday. It captures the entire, ridiculously Australian feat on film.

The shark is at least a metre long and looks pretty heavy, but doesn’t seem to faze Hatheier, who can be seen matter-of-factly scooping it up and returning it to more appropriate waters.

As Cronulla Real Estate put it on Facebook “#classicMel”. They also refer to Mel as their “in-house Shark Wrangler”, which seems to suggest this has happened before. We knew the Sydney housing market was tough right now, but this is, ah, next level.

It’s not uncommon for small sharks to wash into ocean swimming pools, unfortunately for the rest of us mere mortals. This particular incident happened at Oak Park Rock Pool in Cronulla though, if you’re looking to avoid it.
