Amanda Bynes Just Gave A Strange First Interview After Four Years Of Silence
Following her breakdown four years ago, Amanda Bynes disappeared from the limelight and hasn’t given any public interviews – until now.
The former Nickelodeon star joined the Hollyscoop this week where she spoke to Diana Madison about being sober, along with plans to launch a fashion line and return to acting. The interview is incredibly awkward and shows an unusually placid side to the now 31-year-old Bynes (feel old yet?).
Speaking on the segment, she said:
“I want to do TV, maybe a few guest spots on shows that I’m a fan of and maybe another TV show we’re I’m the star of it in the future.”
Despite being totally cringe-worthy, the former star of ‘The Amanda Show’ opened up about “doing great” following a few tough years and even touched on her infamous thirsty tweets requesting Drake to “murder” her vagina.
Credit to her, she sticks by her claim that she sincerely would love to get down and dirty with the former Degrassi lad but says was she was on drugs and trying to be funny. She said:
“I actually wasn’t being insincere, I was like saying, ‘murder my vagina’.
I was serious but I was also on drugs so that was my way of saying, ‘Let’s do it man’ but I was on drugs and trying to be hilarious,”
Despite lightly skimming across some deep topics (like ahh being hospitalised for some severe mental health issues), the clip takes a bizarre turn, with Diana delving head-first into random ‘hot or not’ games. It’s bloody weird. I guess that’s not so surprising though.
All the best to Bynes, no doubt it’s been a hard road overcoming her demons, so we hope she goes on to do some good things.
