Australian Survivor is about to go nek level.

Channel Ten’s announced its huge 2018 lineup last night, and revealed that Survivor is not only returning (yay!) but will be getting a makeover. Next year the reality series will pit industry champions against everyday folk.

“Jonathan LaPaglia will host a new group of castaways for the third season of Australian Survivor,” a Channel Ten spokesperson said.

“The new season, Champions v Contenders, will see champions from fields such as sport, entertainment and all walks of public life take on everyday Australians in the ultimate game of survival.”

The move, which is a first for the Aussie series, follows the US franchise, which has featured several seasons focused on splitting the tribes in two according to their specialised backgrounds. It’s about to get savage.

Channel Ten says it will include champions in the ‘field of entertainment’, which might mean that celebs will feature in the upcoming third season and we say HELL YEAH.

We can expect the third season of Australian Survivor late in 2018.
