Calvin Harris Lets Rip At Taylor Swift In Twitter Rant, Confirms She Secretly Wrote His Track With Rihanna
Calvin Harris has been keeping things relatively on the down-low following his split with Taylor Swift and her (VERY) quick rebound with new BAE Tom Hiddleston. That is until now, when it seems he’s just about had it with what he believes is Swift and her team focusing on tearing him down.
Across 15 minutes overnight, Harris took to twitter to address the matter and he may have spilled the beans on how their relationship fell apart.
It all comes after a rep for Swift confirmed the claim that she wrote Calvin Harris and Rihanna‘s Hit ‘This Is What You Came For‘ under the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg (bombshell).
In his tweets, Harris confirmed this was the case but stresses that Swift wanted to keep her name out of it and is only now attempting to claim it to make him look bad. While the pair were together, Harris did an interview with Ryan Seacrest where he stressed that he couldn’t foresee working with his then-girlfriend in the future. He said,
“You know, we haven’t even spoken about it. I can’t see it happening though.”
Word is from Siwft’s reps that she was fairly cut with this – despite not wanting to publicise the fact that they were already working together. Apparently this lead to some pretty bad blood.
In his fairly positive messages, Harris explains how this came to be and is all praise for Swift’s songwriting ability. He then basically directed his messsages to his ex GF saying,
“I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do. I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.”
Ouch. Apparently Katy Perry saw the humour in all this, sharing this tweet moments later:
