The Aussie Wallabies player has become somewhat of a cult icon in recent years, beloved for his one-liners and attracting fan groups and a huge Instagram following.
While it had been rumoured earlier this year that Georgia Love’s ex Cameron Cranley would front the next series (possibly with his brother?!) it seems the network may have had a change of heart.
Badger will be a bit of a wildcard bachy, likely to draw in viewers to see what he’ll do next and just like last year’s The Bachelorette Sophie Monk, it helps that he is already a famous face we know and love.
In our opinion, the Honey Badger as Australia’s next bachy is a stroke of genius and will deliver television gold. It’s gonna go off like a raw prawn!!
The reactions from other Bachelor fans have been mixed, with users flocking to social media to share their thoughts.
ugh give me a love story of a "nobody" like tim and anna or sam and snez over another stunt celebrity casting any day. #thebachelorau https://t.co/E8At3MRfgg
