Disney Just Announced The Cast Of ‘The Lion King’ Remake And BRING ON BEYONCE!
As of this morning, Disney’s live-action remake of the Lion King might just have the greatest movie cast lineup that has ever existed in the history of this earth.
There’s so much talent involved to get around but let’s be real, Beyoncé starring in a Disney film, playing Nala is the stuff dreams are made of.
Disney dropped the main cast members all confirmed for the Jon Favreau directed remake of The Lion King and have you ever seen something so beautiful?

Like it wasn’t exciting enough when we found out that Simba would be played by rapper/singer/actor/writer/director and generally amazing human Donald Glover, this Beyoncé news is honestly too much hype to handle. I repeat, Beyoncé fucking Knowles is going to be playing Nala!!! She’s going to be in The Lion King!!! A Disney movie!!!
It’s an ace cast she’s joining with John Oliver lined up to play Zazu and James Earl Jones reprising his role as Mufasa, who he played in the 1994 original. It’s going to be a masterpiece. Plus we’ve got Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner playing Pumbaa and Timon respectively, Chiwetel Ejiofor playing Scar, Alfre Woodard (you would almost defs recognise her, most recently from Luke Cage) playing Sarabi, and Keegan-Michael Key playing a hyena called Kamari. Let the good times roll.
The ‘live-action’ remake is being directed by Favreau, who brought us the recent remake of The Jungle Book. Popular opinion is that the ‘live-action’ is actually just going to be these actors plus a whole lotta CGI so we are keen to see how Queen Bey looks as a lion hybrid.
We will have to wait until the film drops next year to find out and I think I can speak for us all when I say that we are KEEN.
