Young love is dead. Done. Dusted. On tonight’s episode of Married at First Sight, Matt broke Alycia’s still beating Bambi-shaped heart, when he decided to leave the experiment. It was a punch straight in the guts.

It felt like a blind-side on the back of last night’s ep, where it appeared like the couple’s relationship was on the mend. While Matt chucked a bit of a tantrum, he later apologised to his TV ‘wife’, having a change of heart. But tonight he pulled a 180° again tonight, calling it quits.

They met up harbour side but Alycia thought they were about to have a “really good chat”. Narrator: in fact they would not be having a really good chat. Instead, he told her he was exiting the experiment, leaving Alycia beyond devo.

HOW YOU DO THIS TO A FAIRYTALE PRINCESS?!

Clearly Matt has issues of his own to resolve but it’s hard not to feel for Alycia. Matt seems to like the gal, but thinks he’s too good for her, which is some self-sabotaging logic. Poor Alycia. She saw her wedding as the beginning of her fairytale and it’s all gone wrong. Bless her.

When we first met this couple they seemed smitten with each other, hopefully none of our other fave couples get hit with heartbreak. (Here’s looking at you Telv and Sarah!)
