National Treasure Sophie Monk Will Host ‘Love Island’ & Can This Show Start Right Now
Here’s some absolutely cracking news for your start to the week: bachy legend Sophie Monk will host the upcoming season of Channel Nine’s Love Island. Thank you, reality telly overlords. Thank you.
Fresh from making the entire nation fall head-over-heels in love with her as Australia’s Bachelorette, Monk’s next TV venture is staying firmly in the realm of reality dating. NW is reported this morn that Soph has been confirmed as the host of 2018’s Love Island.
This is wild news, given that Monk is fresh from Bachy fame on Network Ten, who this year will premiere their new island dating show ‘Bachelor In Paradise’. We still don’t know if the shows will air at the same time but either way, it seems there’s a storm a’brewin’ between the networks.
HELL YEAH!! We can’t wait to see this beautiful TV drama play out, plus Sophie’s face back on our screens.
She is sure to liven up the British-inspired reality series, that collects and matches singles up, for the chance at love and dollar, dollar bills, y’all.
Sophie’s new gig apparently took a while to secure. The magazine is reporting that the Bardot singer had to cut ties with the Ten completely before she could sign-on.
“Soph struggled to get out of her contract after the Bachelorette, but she did it – and good on her!” a friend of Sophie said.
“She’s going to kill it as the host!”
Yeah she is!!! BRING IT.
