We’ve have some smashin’ true crime shows to look forward to this year, first The Case of: JonBenét Ramsey documentary due later this month, and further into the year the second season of the truly addictive Making a Murderer. But another to add to the list is Netflix’s newest debut Amanda Knox.

American student Amanda Knox became a household name, after she was twice convicted and twice acquitted in Italy, for the murder of her British roommate Meredith Kercher in 2007.

The new Netflix documentary sees Knox in a candid interview discussing being accused of murder and the years battling the courts. Netflix claims the documentary will uncover “unprecedented access to key people involved and never-before-seen archival material”.

Over the past decade global speculation has continued to hover over whether she was guilty or not. “Either I’m a psychopath in sheep’s clothing, or I am you,” Knox says in the trailer.

It looks super intriguing and will be released on Netflix on 30 September.
