AWKS: Apparently Watching Game Of Thrones Could Be Killin’ Our Sex Drive

Turns out watching a menacing creep chop the penis off his captive and attempt to eat it, doesn’t do a whole lot for the ol’ sex drive. Go figure?

Well according to Cambridge University’s Professor David Spiegelhalter, couples in Britain are having 40 percent less sex than they did 20 years ago – and this is being attributed to their watching habits.

Researchers have found that the increased use of devices like iPhones and iPads is making it harder (excuse the pun) for people to get bored…and therefore have sex. Spiegelhalter claims that addictive shows like Game of Thrones are to blame.

Professor Spiegelhalter recently said at the Hay Festival that:

“The point is that this massive connectivity, the constant checking of our phones compared to just a few years ago when TV closed down at 10:30 p.m. or whatever and there was nothing else to do.”

He identifies the major factor: “I think it’s the box set, Netflix: ‘OMG, I’ve got to watch the entire second series of Game of Thrones,'” the professor warned.

At this rate Spiegeilhalter claims that if British couples keep binging on Netflix and other addictive shows, they will be having no sex by 2030.

But surely this only impacts couples, right? We all know what Netflix means…
