“I’m Disappointed.” Eden And Jayden From MAFS 2024 Have Broken Up

In what may be a new record for post-show breakups, fan favourites Eden and Jayden have announced their split.

…Well, actually Eden has announced it first – sharing a selection of photos of them on Instagram with this caption:

“When I made the decision at final vows to be with Jayden, I really did that with long-term intentions. Jayden & I spent many months together after the experiment, during which Cub gained a dad and I gained a second family who I’m truly grateful for,” Eden posted.

“I’m saddened to share that toward the end of the show airing, our relationship came to an unexpected end. The ‘reality’ is, the person I chose didn’t choose me. Whilst I’m disappointed, I will never regret the experiment, the people I met, the lessons I learnt and the growth this process has had on me. Thank you for supporting us and for also wishing for the same fairytale that I had hoped for.”

Jayden followed up the news an hour later with his own Instagram statement, which had a little less ‘fuck you’ tone to it. Here’s what he had to say:

“Sometimes in life, things don’t always go the way you had hoped for. After the experiment, Eden and I went back to the Gold Coast and continued to enjoy living our lives together and getting to know each other every day.

“However, unfortunately, our relationship ended not long before the end of the experiment airing. As sad as it is, I’m so glad I got to go through this with such an amazing woman and a beautiful son 🐶 You will both always have a second family on the Gold Coast ❤️”

Jayden notably didn’t address the accusation from Eden that he “didn’t choose” her.

While I am gutted that these two haven’t worked out beyond the show, my more overwhelming feeling is foolishness.

You see, I attended the NOVA MAFS Dinner Party with Fitzy and saw, with my very own eyes, Eden and Jayden being very affectionate and coupled up. At the time of the party there were only two episodes left of the show, which according to Eden’s timeline was after they had ended. So were they just putting on a good show for the fans? Or were they giving things one last go before calling it quits? All I’m saying is that when everyone was making plans for the afterparty, they said “let’s go back to ours to change first,” indicating that they were shacked up.

No other cast members from this season of MAFS have shared anything about the breakup, but an ‘inside source’ told Yahoo Lifestyle that the split was Jayden’s idea.
