ICYMI, the big bachy news yesterday, Bachelor In Paradise’s Ali Oetjen has been announced as Australia’s next Bachelorette, and look, most people are not entirely stoked about the buzzkill reveal.

While we were all on a high last night following Sam’s magic AF proposal to Tara, the mood quickly shifted as the ep ended with the news Grant and Ali had split and Ali was our 2018 bachy.

They’re big shoes to fill after Sophie Monk and the incoming Honey ‘Badgelor’ Badger, who will likely be bonkers, and tbh the news just doesn’t fill us with much excitement.

In Ali’s defence, she didn’t get a whole lotta screen time throughout BIP, so viewers didn’t get a real chance to get to know her and her personality.

However, she was never a fave among viewers — unlike bigger personalities like Florence, Megan and Laurina — so we’re a lil confused over how she was selected in the first place.

There were a few people who were happy with Network Ten’s decision, but the reactions has been mostly negative.

The overwhelming majority on Twitter agreed it was a bad call:

Reactions of Facebook weren’t much better.
