The sexual assault scandal that has rocked the production of the US series ‘Bachelor In Paradise‘ has been wildly complex, but after an internal investigation the ‘show will go on’.

Warner Bros. who own and produce the franchise both in the US and Australia had previously shut down the Bachy spin-off show after contestant Corinne Olympios accused fellow cast member DeMario Jackson of sexual assault. According to E!, a source close to the reality star says there are huge portions of her evening with Jackson, which took place in Mexico, that she cannot remember.

In a turn of events, another cast member Jasmine Goode said that it was Jackson who was the victim of the incident. In her claims, she says Jackson was also boozed up and Olympios instigated the actions after she had “forced herself on three male cast members when they were unable to consent” on the same day. Goodes statement continues to clarify:

“The day of the incident under investigation, Corinne did not display any change in behaviour from what was observed by the cast on her season of The Bachelor,”

“Corinne forced herself on three male cast members, when they were unable to consent, in addition to engaging with DeMario.

“After the incident everything seemed fine. There was no mention about being hurt. However, when producers tried to cut her off from drinking, she got upset and said, ‘Watch, watch what I’m gonna do.'”

After an internal investigation with the assistance of an outside law firm, the studio confirmed the footage did not support claims of sexual misconduct by any cast members and would continue filming.

In a statement, Warner Bros. said:

“As we previously stated, we recently became aware of allegations regarding an incident on the set of Bachelor in Paradise in Mexico. We take all such allegations seriously.”

“Out of respect for the privacy interests of those involved, we do not intend to release the videotape of the incident.

“We can say, however, that the tape does not support any charge of misconduct by a cast member” –  “Nor does the tape show, contrary to many press reports, that the safety of any cast member was ever in jeopardy.”

This means that Aussie Bachelor villains Keira Maguire and Sam Johnston may get their chance to be intruders on the US show after all!

In the fallout from the scandal it was revealed the Aussie contestants were set to arrive to stir up some good ol’ fashion Aussie drama (not that the show sounds like it needs any more). Meanwhile, we’re not too sure what this would mean for the blossoming relationship between Sam and fellow reality star and bacon lover Noni who continue to rub their ridiculously cute photos in our faces via IG:

At the time of the allegations, Keira told NW magazine:

“I had my bags all ready to go, then on Sunday morning, I woke up and literally had five missed calls.”

Keira has recently embarked on a whole heap of plastic surgery ($35k worth), potentially an investment before getting her mug in front of so many American viewers. With the show going now going ahead, you can bet it’s going to get some massive attention.

The host of the Bachelor In Paradise Chris Harrison – ie. American Osher – has also apologised to fans via Twitter. In his tweet during our early hours, he confirmed the show would return and thanked everyone for their patience.

Needless to say, the fans on Twitter are pretty chuffed – confirming that they’ll have no qualms believing Harrison and producers when they spruik this season for being ‘the most dramatic season yet’!
