Happy Galentine’s Day! In perfect news, some of the beautiful, talented, brilliant, powerful musk-oxes from Parks and Recreation have reunited for Galentine’s Day, and it’s the perfect celebration for only the best day of the year.

Aubrey Plaza posted a photo to her Instagram, which shows her, Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones and Kathryn Hahn in a selfie in front of a roaring fire.

The photo is slightly blurry, but that could actually be from our tears of joy at the idea of Leslie, April, Ann and Jennifer being together again for this holiday.

????happy happy galentine’s day. these women keep me alive. ????

Galentine’s Day is the brainchild of Leslie Knope in Parks and Recreation, and first debuted into our hearts and minds on February 13 in 2010. The goal of the day is “ladies celebrating ladies.”, and usually involves a large amount of waffles, cocktails, and enthusiastic appreciation of friendship.

Gifts are anything from hand-crocheted arts and crafts to 5,000 word proclamations of love. It’s all very wholesome and no partners are allowed.

Since Parks and Rec established the holiday as a thing, people around the world have continued celebrating the holiday in reality. It’s infinitely better than Valentine’s Day.

“Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas.”” says Leslie.

It’s honestly the purest thing in the world that the cast of Parks and Rec come back together to celebrate their love for each other, and a reminder of just how perfect the show was.
