Feeling like dinosaurs alone aren’t all that terrifying anymore? How about dinosaurs with a side of volcanoes, then?

We hope you’re into that, because the first trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom just dropped, and both dinosaurs and volcanoes feature pretty heavily. The new film centres on Jurassic World’s Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) returning once again to an island full of dinosaurs, this time to try to save the dinosaurs from an impending volcanic explosion.

This looks like it goes about as well as you’d expect from a franchise that relies on dramatic shots of people running away from dinosaurs.

While some people are grumbling about the less-than-explosive plot, the trailer does have a bit of everything for fans of the original films — including Jeff Goldblum.

Yep, that’s right — 20 years later after he last appeared in The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Goldblum’s back in his role as fan-favourite mathematician Dr. Ian Malcolm, this time with a beard. Different aesthetics aside, though, he seems like the same old Ian Malcolm, and it’s pretty great to see him again. And speaking of fan favourites, we also get to see more of Blue, everyone’s favourite velociraptor.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom hits cinemas in June 2018.
