Laura Byrne Has Dragged Abbie Chatfield And Things Are Getting Super Messy
Laura Byrne has called out Abbie Chatfield after it was announced Abbie would be hosting new show FBOY Island and the discourse is chaotic AF.
To give you a quick rundown on everything that is happening in the world of Aussie entertainment and reality TV, Brittany Hockley and Kyle Sandilands were called out by Abbie Chatfield on her It’s A Lot podcast for slut shaming her on their brekkie radio show.

Since then, Brittany has released a public statement addressing her comments, and Abbie has responded, stating that she would not accept the apology.
People have rallied to support Abbie, including Married At First Sight’s Domenica Calarco, who posted a few Instagram stories dragging Brittany for slut shaming despite building a career out of “women supporting women.”

Brittany’s Life Uncut podcast co-host and fellow Bachy alum, Laura Byrne, has now entered the conversation, this time taking aim at Abbie’s new show.

In response to this news, Laura took to her Instagram Stories to clap back at the show and Abbie’s hypocrisy without naming her.
“Announced that they are hosting FBOY Island. A show that encourages men to lie to women and manipulate their emotions in order to win a cash prize,” Laura wrote. “That is enough internet for me today.”
Alongside her criticism of Abbie’s new show, Laura posted about the controversies and concerns surrounding FBOY ISLAND.
“The New Zealand franchise cast a man (because they didn’t do background checks) who suffocated a woman and lured her into his house to have sex with her. It doesn’t matter that this is the AU version, it is a franchise I would never associate myself with – as a feminist.”
Abbie swiftly replied to Laura’s response, also via Instagram Story, saying, “I would not sign up for this show [FBOY Island] if that was a premise of the show, Laura. So I think you need to maybe address what your co-host did [Brittany], rather than trying to retaliate in this very passive-aggressive weird way. At least tag me.”

Abbie then posted a third Instagram Story, dragging Laura for slut shaming her during her season of The Bachelor.
“Also, Laura, if you really just staunch feminist, you’re gonna dissect this show that you have not seen, that hasn’t been created yet in Australia. If you’re gonna stand by this and if you are reformed from back when you shamed me online after, The Bachelor, remember that? Remember when you did that? That was really mean. If you are reformed from that, then I would think you would’ve DMed me when this whole thing broke,” Abbie said.
Laura has yet to respond to Abbie’s claims of slut shaming, but Domenica and Ella May Ding, from MAFS, have shared their support for Abbie and her new gig.
