OSCARS 2016: The Vine’s ‘Fashion On Fleek’ Moments From The Red Carpet
It’s OSCAR TIME. Which means it’s a time for designers to fight fist and nail to get their dresses on that red fabric. Fashion was in its finest form for the 2016 Academy Awards, with a few stepping their fashion foot further forward than the rest – we looking at you Heidi (wtf???) – with some truly stunning offerings.
As usual our queen Cate reigned supreme, but here are all the fashions that (Chris) ROCKED the red carpet.
Cate Blanchett
She’s here! A vision in pastel. This is soo damn pretty on our Cate in Armani Privé seafoam green cap-sleeve mermaid gown, featuring hand-sewn Swarovski crystals and white feathers. Beautiful and a softer look for her usual award season offerings, with simple hair and accessories. Perf!
Rooney Mara
Carol castmate Mara is stunning in this white embroidered gown by Givenchy Haute Couture with cut-out and high center slit. HOT. HOT. HOT.
Jennifer Laurence
FINALLY. J-law brought her A-game in this enchanting and delicate number.
Margot Robbie
Taking her invitation to the Oscars quite literally, Robbie is a hot AF golden statue. Casual tousled hair gives the look extra va-voom. Love the clutch too.
Olivia Wilde
GORGEOUS. The Vinyl actress slayyyyyed in this pleated cream gown with a plunging neckline. The statement choker takes this to the next level.
Leonardo Dicaprio
Wearing a (hopeful) winner’s suit. Leo looks daper and fit AF.
Lady Gaga
Only Gags could pull this pantsuit off. Obviously continuing her homage to Bowie, somehow this outfit works and she looks gorg.
Olivia Munn
This daring orange number on Munn is sure to divide opinion, but the one-shouldered clean lined dress was a refreshing change. Matching lipstick is a nice touch too.
Kerry Washington
This is sure to turn a few heads and end up on some ‘worst dressed’ lists…but SHHHHH cos she’s FIERCE.
Isla Fisher
So fresh. So cute. So pretty. The Brothers Grimsby actress looked beaut in the white gown with a floral pattern and off-the-shoulder neckline.
Jared Leto
Leto never disappoints and is always a welcome point of difference among the sea of black suits on the RC. Extra points for red trim and flower bowtie.
Naomi Watts
Aussie’s represent! The Insurgent actress wore an Armani Privé sapphire in a unique blue and purple embroidered gown in stripes of Swarovski crystal in a chevron pattern. The red lip is a beautiful and rich colour combination.
Charlize Theron
The Mad Max actress is in fine form as uzzze, looking perf. The cleavage- gracing necklace steps the whole thing up a notch.
Michael Strahan
LOVE this. What a great colour on the football player. A controversial debut but he pulls it off.
Priyanka Chopra
This is how you do the Oscars. The Quanitco actress is flawless in the sheer strapless floral gown. The matching clutch and $3.2 million worth of Lorraine Schwartz diamonds provide the much needed bling.
